Willakenzie Estate
Architect of Record: Ernie Munch
Completed: 1995
Location: Yamhill, Oregon
Bernard and Ronni Lacroute purchased Willakenzie Estate in 1991, started planting pinot noir the next year, and built their winery in 1995.
Willakenzie Estate Winery is gravity fed. The winery produces about 15,000-20,000 cases annually. In addition to Pinot Noir, they offer smaller quantities of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.
The architecture of the winery reflects that of a cattle barn that still stands on the site next to the winery. Today the barn has been remodeled to house case storage, vineyard and winery offices, and a small art gallery.
