Our History
In 2017, Corey Omey became owner of EMA Architecture, LLC, a multi-disciplinary architecture and planning firm started in 1979 by Ernie Munch, after dedicating 19 years to the company. He aimed to cultivate an office culture mirroring the firm’s design ethos: democratic, equitable, and sustainable. By obtaining B-Corp certification in 2019, the company demonstrated its commitment to social and environmental responsibility and uses this framework for continual improvement. Our commitment is evident in the focus on material reuse and upcycling, alternative energy systems, high-performance architectural detailing, and sustainable and regenerative construction practices. After a decade of working with the firm, Jenn Lanius became a partner at Kaleido Studio, where sustainability and resilience take precedence in her designs.
